Wordless Wednesday: Tur (Toor) Dal

Tur (Toor) Dal is widely eaten in India. In South India, it’s used in the famous dish Sambar, and in Gujarat in a dish called Dal Bhat (a sweet and sour lentil soup with rice). This is how the tur dal (beans) also known as pigeon peas is grown fresh. I took this photo in Gujarat, India.
